Sati Meditation 2012 Program

Sati Meditation (as taught by Luangpor Teean) incorporates rhythmic bodily movements to cultivate awareness of the body and the mind.  This will enhance the quality of our life, and ultimately leads to direct and profound understanding of the origin of and the liberation from suffering in human experiences.  Sati Meditation is a form of vipassana (insight) meditation introduced by Luangpor Teean Jittasubho (1911 1988) of Thailand.  This unique form of meditation can be practiced by people of any religious faith, and is especially suitable for modern society/environment because experienced practitioners can practice and apply the meditation in their daily life.

2012 Sati Meditation 1-Day Retreats
Sati Meditation retreats will be led by Meditation Master, Luangpor Dha Nilpant.  Luangpor Dha was ordained as a monk in 1971.  After practicing many forms of meditation without real results, he began practicing under Luangpor Teean’s guidance.  He progressed rapidly toward the end of suffering and has become a Sati Meditation Master.  He was the Abbot of Wat Mokevanaram and Wat ThatKhong in Thailand.  Luangpor Dha is also the Vice-Chairman of the Buddhaya Nandharam Temple in Las Vegas.  He current resides and teaches Sati Meditation in Redding Meditation Society in West Redding Connecticut.  He was invited by the BAUS and stayed in Chuang Yen Monastery for 3-4 months each year in 1993, 1996, 1999, and 2001 teaching Sati Meditation.  His teaching will be assisted by Achan Nipen Nontammot
